Channel 7 will go the Full Monty to keep its ratings crown, with new celebrity strip show set for 2018
The TV ratings fight may be a fistfight, but Channel 7 is ready to go
to The Real Full Monty, ordering a new special in which the stars will
look like charity.
The fundraiser for prostate cancer will see the cameras follow eight male celebrities as they prepare for the big revelation next year.
As the casting continues, a comedian, a politician, a football player, a singer, a television star during the day and an actor were mocked on a reel that was shown to the media and buyers at the launch of network programming for 2018 today. The cheeky project elevates sex appeal to next year's list of Seven, which also includes Delta Goodrem dressed in Lycra on the Olivia Newton-John telefilm, Hopelessly Devoted To You.
While these television biographies have had mixed success on the local small screen, Seven will look forward to the goodwill of both women and the current interest in the courageous battle against Newton-John's cancer will draw a large audience to his remarkable story of lifetime.
Goodrem will also help attract a younger viewer to Seven, who has appeared to an older audience, better served next year with the revival of the long-running ABC drama series, The Doctor Blake Mysteries ) and the return of Enough Rope host Andrew Denton for network television."Denton will try to reclaim his title as Michael Parkinson in an interview with Andrew Denton.
The veteran TV presenter said he had decided not to revive his previous ABC chat show, where Enough Rope was aired 15 years ago, believing "it's your job to bring in new talent."
Just months after undergoing open-heart bypass surgery, Denton joked that his name was "synonymous with fitness" and he expected to present the new adrenaline series of Seven, the Australian Spartan just to settle for the role quietly interviewing a different star each week.
Book of Harper Collins, Working Class Boy. Jimmy Barnes, Jimmy Barnes, Jimmy Barnes, Jimmy Barnes, Jimmy Barnes.Returning to the new seasons will also be My Kitchen Rules and House Rules, as well as the drama series directed by Rebecca Gibney, Wanted, and Jessica Mauboy's The Secret Daughter.
Apprentice Australia host Mark Bouris will be a new program for Seven, doing small companies in his role as The Mentor.Adding to his reality TV offerings, Seven received the biggest reaction from the audience of Back With The Ex, a show that tries to gather the flames of the past; and First Wives Clubs (think Real Housewives in search of a second chance of love).
The network will also offer $ 100,000 in search of the best places to work and move in Dance Boss, where 10 companies will introduce five employees and amateur dancers to train with a "world famous choreographer."
True crime fanatics should also seek an Underbelly, Australian Gangster-style commission, as well as a murderous investigation into Sue Neil Fraser, the Tasmanian woman who still pleads not guilty after being jailed for murdering her husband aboard his luxury yacht.Seven will also seek to replicate the Nine Ninja Warrior phenomenon with its own adrenaline competition, the Australian Spartan.
Seven West Media boss Tim Worner said the industry leader was committed to "delivering engaging content where and when our audience wants it," promising "more live, live events and our entertainment programming ".
