"They will remember that Maina was fired by the last administration and placed on the Wanted List." We are asking the federal government to arrest and prosecute Maina if they know where she is. "As they were the ones who brought him in and they reinstalled him, prosecute, "the party demanded. At a press conference in Abuja, the national party chairman, Dr. Mike Omotoso assisted by party spokesman, Barr. Ebere Ifendu and other officials also stated that there was no leadership crisis in the party. They accused the former national president, Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, of continued impersonation, saying that he had since been suspended following serious allegations against him by the party's gubernatorial candidate in Anambra. "We want to correct some misconceptions about our party There is no leadership struggle in our party Our national president is Dr. Mike Omotoso," said Ifendu. She said the party had filed a formal complaint with police investigating the disappearance of party property, including a vehicle. The party also rebuked some state governments for their inability or refusal to pay workers' wages, describing the trend as anti-popular and a modern form of slavery. However, he urged the federal government to initiate an investigation into how state governments used the budget support fund as well as the Paris Club reimbursement given them by the federal government, apart from its federal allocation and internally generated revenue.
