PRESIDENT BUHARI MEETING IN CLOSED DOOR SOME GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL

President Muhammadu Buhari met behind closed doors Monday with government officials, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and some presidential aides, by formally resuming his duties at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Nigeria News Agency (NAN) reports that presidential assistants, including the Chief of Staff of the President, Abba Kyari, and the President's Special Adviser on Media and Advertising, Femi Adesina, were among the first callers in the president's office .
Kawu Sumaila, Special Special Assistant on National Assembly Affairs (House of Representatives) was also in the President's office to pick up the letter of resumption of duties for later transmission to the National Assembly.
Mr. Osinbajo, who met the president on his arrival from London on Saturday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, also met behind closed doors with President Buhari in his office for about two hours.
Nasarawa state governor Tanko Al-Makura was also sighted advancing towards the president's office.
NAN reports that the president would be receiving more visitors, including some heads of service and Cabinet ministers who are expected to report on developments in their respective ministries, departments and agencies.
Buhari, who returned to Abuja yesterday after a long stay in London, addressed Nigerians on Monday in a national broadcast where he said his administration would continue to secure unity in Nigeria.
