Ederson support Neymar's Ballon ambition
The goalkeeper has supported his international teammate to be named one day the best player in the world
Neymar can become the best player in the world after his record change to Paris Saint-Germain, according to Manchester City goalie Ederson.
The 222 million euro man dazzled in his home debut for PSG on Sunday -
scoring two and putting in three more in a 6-2 defeat of Toulouse.
Ederson was part of Brazil's victorious team at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016, when captain Neymar scored the decisive penalty to sink Germany into the gold medal match, and believes that the sky is the limit for the Former Barcelona favorite."Certainly, Neymar has already proven it," Ederson told Omnisport when asked if the striker could break Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's dominance at the Ballon d'Or.
"He has the capacity for that, if he thought it was better for him to join the PSG, congratulations.
"I hope he does his best at PSG, he wins everything he wants and he can fight for the Ballon d'Or.
"He has all the capacity in the world, only he knows the reason for his departure.
"If it were to have the opportunity to be the best player in the world, he has everything to do it. I wish him good luck."
Ederson now shares a wardrobe with another of the stars of the national team of his country, striker Gabriel Jesus.
The 20-year-old scored seven goals in eight Premier League games last season, impressing despite suffering a broken foot a month after his arrival in January.
"I played with Gabriel on the Olympic team and since then I have always liked it," said Ederson, who became the most expensive goalkeeper in the world when he joined the City from Benfica for 34.7 million pounds in June.
"He is a striker who gives many problems to his opponents and has everything to reach the highest possible level.
"Neymar is on a plateau higher than him, but he has everything to get there also working.
"He's a hard-working guy who helps a lot and is a cheerful guy, he's got everything to get there."
